can streamline your body and help you lose or gain
weight as you like. Zhou huilin finds

MEN and women of all ages
are concerned about their appearance, especially their
figures. With movie stars and models getting more gaunt
each year, many people go on diets to lose weight to
make themselves look and feel
better. To meet the demand of
young women in Shanghai who are looking to lose weight
in a healthy manner, a new sport called “SiJia” was
recently introduced and has been gaining a lot of
popularity. “Every woman
wants herself to look perfect in the deepest part of her
mind. SiJia is a sport designed especially for women, as
well illustrated by its motto – “Be Perfect.” “The motto
summons my ultimate desire for beauty,” said Sun, the
coach of Shanghai SiJia Club and a former trainee of the
programme. SiJia is a
programme which focuses on physical perfection achieved
by means of changing body composition, according to
Sun. The word “SiJia” was
coined in 1987 in Leninggrad (Now St Petersburg) to name
an innovative training technique aimed at correcting
body composition, which is determined by an instrument
that was invented in the former Soviet Union, according
to Sun. SiJia research proved
that there is a certain consistent pattern in body
composition of people who look seemingly perfect in
terms of current beauty standards. The “SiJia model”
concept has been developed from a careful mathematical
analysis of these consistent patterns, Sun
said. SiJia models'
measurements were calculated according to different body
types. “Some girls have big body framework, while some
have small framework. So, the standards of beauty in
accordance with their frameworks also differ,” Sun
added. Actual physique
parameters are compared with those of a certain SiJia
model, and from this comparison we determine current
health state, physical capacity, as well training
regimes that enable exercisers to effectively attain
training goals. “The first
time I came, the coach used a special device to check my
body composition – the ratio of fat contained in
different parts of my body. I was told fat in my laps
and hips surpassed the standard,” Joe Wang, one
participant at the club, recalled with a
smile. Then the coach
instructed Joe Wang to take part in the sports targeting
the two parts. After two months' training, Wang lost 6
kilograms. “This has greatly boosted my confidence. When
I first came to attend the training, I case doubt on the
theory, as I originally thought that body shapes are
inherent rather than acquired,” Wang said.
According to Membership
Manager Lu, about 10 to 12 participants at first
wondered whether the training programme would really
work. But after one or two months, they are all
convinced by the result – they all lost weight ranging
from 2 to 8 kilos. “However,
SiJia dose not simply means helping women lose weight,
it actually shapes a better figure for those who
received the training. Thin is not equal to beautiful.
We should have a healthy body first, then keep our
bodies in good shape,” Sun
said. “Curves in the body is
one thing every woman longs for. Though I am 1.65 meter
tall, my weight is only 42 kilos. I am too thin.
therefore, I came here to exercise my bosom muscles”,
said one participant surnamed
Xu. Apart from physical
exercises, SiJia coaches also teach the participants to
walk in an elegant manner. Walking exercises in the
training classes received the participants' warn
response, according to
Lu. “As far as I know, we are
the only club that teaches walking. Beauty is not merely
good appearance, manner is an inseparable part of it.
Even though you have perfect figure, if you walk in an
uncouth way with high heels, you are not attractive at
all,” Sun said. Walking
exercises are practical. As long as the participants
learn how to walk properly, they can practice every day
and feel they are improving all the time. So they easily
take to the exercises, said participant Celine
Chen. SiJia not only provides
the participants with personalized physical exercises,
but also offer participants knowledge concerning
nutrition. After one and half hours of execises,
several participants stayed to question the coach about
their diets. “Every time
after the exercises, I feel extremely hungry, I want to
eat something but I am afraid this will add weight
easily. How should I do?” “You can eat some fruit and
drink more water. Don't be afraid such things will not
add weight,” Sun said. SiJia
is an integration of kinematics, nutrition, medicine and
psychology, as the International Federation defined the
training programme. “The
first Moscow Medical Institute examined SiJia, the
training programme and they concluded with substantial
facts that SiJia's physical exercises can improve
functioning of the respiration and circulation systems”,
Sun said. Concerning psychology, SiJia also requires
participants keep a good mood to take part in the
training. “We, as coaches,
are required to be patient and easy-going, otherwise we
cannot be authorized as coaches. We are to help
participants heighten their sprits in the whole process
of physical exercises,” Sun
said. After the classes,
several participants headed for a bar to have a chat and
get together. “SiJia did give them happiness. At the
beginning, they did not know each other but now they
have become friends in the class. In addition, as a
coach, I have more friends since I teach the class,” Sun
said. Sun's words echo
SiJia's social motto, ‘A healthy and happy personality
makes a happy society,' as scientists believe any person
that can quickly improve through a quest for beauty will
determine a certain lifestyle, mentality and overall
aspirations. In this way, the person will acquire
positive thinking, get rid of negative and pessimistic
attitudes toward his own personality, other people and
life itself.

如今,“以瘦为美”成为时尚,T
型舞台上的“骨感美人”成了美的代言人,成衣店里永远是“小一号”的服装。我敢说,如今的上海姑娘不管真肥还是一点也不胖,都把“我要减肥”挂在嘴上,大有一番“衣带渐宽终不悔”的架势。 天生“矮墩墩、胖嘟嘟”的我,做梦都想拥有一副窈窕身材。要减肥的决心随着年龄的增长变得越来越坚定。几乎有整整半年,蕃茄、黄瓜、减肥茶成了我餐桌上的主角。为了获得更好的减肥效果,我吃减肥酥、营养素之类的的减肥食 品;用减肥皂、脂肪运动机;穿瘦身衣;喝“七日瘦身汤”,反正哪样热门我试哪样。除了怕疼、怕血没有去抽脂,怕得心脏病、厌食症没敢乱吃减肥药之外,能试的都试了。结果冤枉钱花了不少,罪也受了不少,但我的体重仍然稳稳当当的停留在58千克(身高1.58)。按照国际标准计算,我还是超重!!哎,算了,认命吧!

,隔着玻璃窗,我看到了一群努力塑身训练的爱美的女性。从她们身上,我看到了自信,看到了快乐,看到了一种源于运动的美。刹那间,我被深深地打动了,不
由的产生了想试一试地念头。于是,两天后我成了舍宾塑身中心的一员。 我第一次穿上了新买的连身运动衣,脚上穿着专业的软底鞋,站在宽敞的训练厅里。那是一块普通的类似体操房的场地,不大但很干净。房间四周的墙壁上都镶着玻璃,感觉很明亮,很宽敞。四台电视机悬挂在房间四角适当的位置,以便每个学员都能不费力地看到录像中教练地动作。现场还有一位专业教练执教。她带领大家训练,帮助大家纠正错误。教练见我是新学员,示意我站在第一排,我的心情既兴奋又紧张。此时,音乐响起,我迈开步子,跟着教练起舞……
第一部分是全身运动。这是一套完整的融合了舞蹈和艺术体操精髓的形体操,动作的难度挺大,我紧跟着教练的步伐,随着优美流畅的音乐,努力做好每一个动作,尽情地放松自己。在镜子里,我看到了一个自信,快乐的我……我的感觉真是好极了! 不知不觉20分钟过去了,接下来是第二部分:仪态步态练习。所谓步态练习就是要求学员穿五厘米以上的高跟鞋练习走路,熟练掌握挺拔,自信,优美的走姿,并把所学到的融入日常生活中去。真是说起来容易,做起来可就难了!起先,难得穿高跟鞋的我总也走不稳,一拐一拐的,样子很奇怪,但慢慢也走出了模特的味道来了,心里美滋滋的。 最后是第三部分,也是舍宾塑身的核心项目——垫上运动。针对腰,腹,臀,背,手臂,大腿,小腿各个部位的特点,分别进行训练。别看教练做得轻轻松松,我还没做完一半,就躺在地上起不来了,真是惭愧!教练鼓励我说:“多练几次就适应了。”对!坚持到底就是胜利!
如今,我参加舍宾塑身已有半年,每星期两次,每次一个半小时。再加上舍宾塑身专用的营养规则,双管齐下,我不仅精力充沛,浑身是劲,体重也由原来的58千克降到了50千克,体脂由原来的46%降到了29%,身体的完美度由37分升到了52分,简直绝了!
如今,去舍宾塑身对我而言,不仅仅是为了减肥,更是一种真正意义上的健身娱乐。朋友们都说我变得自信、开朗、精神多了。 我喜欢舍宾塑身中心,我更感谢舍宾塑身中心,和它相伴,相信美丽将不再是梦想。
